As we near the end of a very chilly winter, we (here at Financemark) are ready to spring into action and help you source high quality and talented Accounting staff for your business.

We have seen consistent demand for Finance staff this year and we are at a time where there is still good talent out there (which won’t last long in my view). Technical roles are consistently in need and there appears to be some growth in more analytical and value-add roles. CFO/FC roles have been more active than a year ago but still very patchy. With multinationals still hurting, demand is mostly from mid-sized private/PE businesses ready to grow/IPO/etc. Accounting support roles (particularly accounts payable) are proving to be the most difficult to fill.

On a personal note, I wanted to let you know that after 12 years running FinanceMark, I am handing the reins over to Kate Muller. Kate has been my trusted right hand for the past 9 years, applying her accounting background, market knowledge and high professional standards to become (what I believe to be) one of the best accounting recruiters in Sydney. I will remain connected to FinanceMark as a director (and during the transition period), whilst I step into running my other business, Performance Education.
